Why can I edit this page?

Everyone can edit almost any page in this website. This concept is called a wiki. It gives everyone the opportunity to make a change for the best. In an open-source environment, like that of the NSIS community, this is very much desired. While some spam and vandalism may occur, it is believed that most contributions will be legit and helpful. • For testing, please use the sandbox.
• If you're leaving a comment, don't forget to sign your comment by typing four tildes (~~~~).
• All NSIS contributions except help pages should have a name, a version, some kind of description, and a link to a downloadable file or a piece of code. It's recommended to put its original thread from NSIS Forums as well.

• All contributions sent to this wiki are generally considered to be in the zlib/libpng license (see License for details).
• If you do not want your writing to be edited mercilessly and redistributed at will, do not submit it.
• By submitting your work you promise you wrote it yourself, or copied it from public domain resources. This does not include most web pages.
